职位描述:

Job Description:

The main tasks of the new Director Weighing Sensors over the next five years comprise:

1. Lead and develop globally distributed teams and optimise respective processes (mainly between HBC and HBG) .

2. Develop innovative product families, driven by overall application requirements and customer value, both for analogue and digital load cells.

3. Continuously sustain, optimise and enhance the current product portfolio with a life-cycle perspective (together with PM).

4. Drive, coordinate and oversee development projects in close collaboration with PM, Sensor Electronics and Strain Gauges, incl. necessary regulatory approvals in time and in budget.

5. Start and drive standardization and cost-down initiatives (COGS and overall process).

6. Standardize and stabilize production processes and resolve potential issues quickly.

7. Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental etc. regulations.

8. Continuously improve production processes (VM, Kaizen, VSM, low cost automation etc.) with a holistic perspective (SQDIP) in close collaboration with plant mgt.

9. Introduce Spectris Lean tools, suitable KPIs and data driven follow-up (regular shop floor mgt.).

10. Ensure and improve agility (OTD against customer request date). Manage production flow (scheduling, levelling + balancing to customer cadence) together with supply chain.

11. Resolve technical issues and reduce uncertainties quickly employing data driven analysis (A3PS).

12. Ascertain sufficient production capabilities (equipment capacity and functionality) in time.

13. Enhance application insights and staff competencies.

14. Balance production (collaborate with other sensor production lines).

15. Evaluate competitor products and competitive technologies.

16. Support sales at key customers and in case of issues (with Sales).

17. Support QS and customer audits and regulatory requirements (with Quality).

18. Support key supplier evaluation and potential issues (with Supply Chain).

19. The Director Weighing Sensors is expected to work as part of a team both within the sites and cross functionally including engineering, sales, supply chain and finance departments.


Requirements:


1. Mandatory Bachelor degree from an accredited university in Engineering in Mechanics or (preferable) Mechatronics / Electronics, ideally with afocus on sensor technology.


2. Language: English (Company language), Chinese.

3. Minimum 5 years experience as an engineer and 5+ years in an engineering leadership role for mechatronic high-volume products, ideally for (strain gauge based) sensors and/or smart sensors.

4. Ideally insights into measurement technology and application (weighing) .

5. Know-how current design and production tools like Lean, Six Sigma, QFD, FMEA, …

6. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and motivate teams in CHN and GER.

7. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and presentation skills in a global environment.

8. Cross-functional and process driven perspective and attitude.

9. Project Management skills.

10. Understands cost drivers, cost of complexity, impact of platforms and standards.

11. Some experience with ERP systems (SAP) and supply chain methodology.

12. Good interaction with customers, government bodies and external partners.
